Uganda’s unique climatic conditions offer two distinct flowering seasons — from March to May and October to January — ensuring that fresh coffee is available throughout the year.

  • If you want a softer, more nuanced coffee (fruit, chocolate, citrus, light acidity) — go for high-altitude Ugandan Arabica.

  • If you prefer stronger, more robust flavor and a caffeine kick — or a coffee that holds up well with milk or sugar — Ugandan Robusta may suit you better.

  • Look for labels that mention regions (e.g. Mount Elgon, Rwenzori, Bugisu) and processing method (washed vs natural/dry) — these affect taste significantly.

  • If possible, choose coffee that says “organic” or sustainably grown — for both environmental and flavor benefits.
